Ngai Shing believes to
grow bigger in 2019 in Bangladesh
H
ong Kong-based Ngai Shing,
through its wide range of
solutions for cutting, fusing, sewing
and finishing equipment, has always
supported the manufacturers
around the globe. Realising the fact
that Bangladesh garment sector is
on a boom, the company took part in
Garmentech event recently in Dhaka
to contribute towards the garment
industry’s growth with its innovative
offering included under its product
basket.
The main focus of the company’s
offering was on automation, as
they believe that this is the current
need of the manufacturers of
Bangladesh which will help them
achieve higher efficiency and
productivity. “Automation can help
the manufacturers to minimise
their processes and achieve greater
quality in the products,” said
Md. Tasriqul Alam Sohel, Aamra
Resources, the dealer of Ngai Shing
in Bangladesh.
Endorsing the same, Ben Ho, Sales
General Manager, Ngai Shing,
commented that the garment
industry, to achieve greater
efficiency and productivity, is now
fiercely moving towards automation.
“So, we have also shifted our focus
to provide them with the best
possible automation solutions,”
explained Ben.
Ngai Shing showed up in the
event with a plethora of products,
primarily its Automatic Pattern
Sewers, NS-6039-1 and NS-6039-2.
Both the models are suitable for
automatically sewing fabric pieces
of shirts such as collars, cuffs,
pocket flaps, etc. Model NS-6039-2
is equipped with an additional table
for sewing wide fabric pieces. Both
the technologies feature a PLC and

easy use. The sewing patterns can
be pre-set according to different
plastic stitch jigs which give each
cutting pieces the same sewing effect,
increasing the working efficiency and
product quality. The sewing speed
and stitch length can also be adjusted
to meet the different requirements of
the manufacturers. Moreover, these
machines come equipped with fabric
trimming cutter to trim fabric edges
automatically.
Another solution on display was
their Ease Laser, NS-8666A. These
machines can replace some heavy
manpower to do jobs such as
whiskering, hand-sand and grinding.
This unit comprises three systems:
flat worktable operation system,
software control system and laser
engraving system. The flat worktable
system comes equipped with a
suction device that ensures good
operation environment. The laser
power is of 0.2 kW and works with

speed of 1,000 mm/s.
“The semi-automated solution is
perfect for the garment industry in
Bangladesh as the manufacturers
here have to deal with a variety
of garments, which need human
intervention,” said Ben. All these
innovations reciprocate the need of
the Bangladesh market; the machines
help eliminate the rejection and
manpower. These are able to give
greater productivity with higher
efficiency.
The company is very well motivated
about its future plans. “Though the
year 2018 did not prove to be very
beneficial for us, we are geared
up to bounce back in 2019. We will
also be concentrating on coming up
with many new seminars to help the
industry here with the new technical
know-how and applications,” said
Ben.
