form. Gazal Mishra’s ‘Pathshala’ was a nostalgic
look at childhood with a variety of ensembles.
Menswear by Jenjum Gadi had tribal colours
and motifs that came alive with layering, draping,
stitches, and embroidery. Anuradha Kuli’s
creations from Assam were a symphony of eri,
muga, and mulberry silks—all 100 per cent
organic and handloom. Indigo and turmeric dyes
added to the natural essence of the collection.
munkee.see.munkee.doo returned on the ramp
with simple silhouettes that were reworked in
cotton and handwoven in Manipur.
Shruti Sancheti unveiled her ‘Blossoms’
collection with an oriental touch—fluid, flowing
silhouettes and impressive embroidery of pagodas,
ponds, and different landscapes. Dhi by Anjana
Bhargav and Ankita Bhargav Meattle featured zero-
waste designs in Indian fabrics and weaves with
construction that had a flamboyant touch.
‘The Gatekeeper’ collection by Nitin Bal Chauhan
had the designer’s characteristic headgear and
striking makeup along with 3D embroidery and prints
on cleverly visualised silhouettes. Closing day two,
Falguni and Shane Peacock unleashed colour and
digital prints for a prét resort-wear line. It had loads
of mix-and-match options, as well as the iconic
feathers on strategic parts of the garments, which
the designing duo is known for.
