@Nidhika FASHION SPEAK DAY THREE The third quartet opened with Nithya Reddy’s ‘Fiona Tales’, in muted shades of dusty pink, ivory, purple, yellow, and pale blue sprinkled with bouquets of floral embroidery. Nidhika Shekhar’s ‘The Red Phase’ was centred on the evolution of a girl. Pure white organza, khadi, and red linen with cutwork and embellishments were the focal points of the collection. Rahul & Anushka brought power dressing to the forefront with fabrics from Jharkhand, while Mahima Mahajan channelled the ‘flower child’ spirit, and featured traditional embroidery 98 I APPAREL I November 2019 on Western silhouettes, houettes, vivid pops of colour, mirrorwork, and sequins in her collection ‘Miroir’. Nikita Mhaisalkar’s ‘Savannah’ featured raffia for separates and luxe prét pieces. Bhumika Sharma’s ‘Nejma’ collection had traces of Moroccan architecture with geometrics and bright colours inspired by Moroccan Zellige. Divya Reddy’s ‘Aagami’ had embellishments depicting our disappearing flora and fauna, while the range’s yellow prints hearkened back to the Amazon fires. The master of evening red-carpet gowns, Amit GT took inspiration from Japanese sumi-e
