THE LARGER GOOD
While the Karnataka Textile Policy 2013–18 may not
have fallen through as envisaged, many other states
are formulating relatively more fruitful policies in this
realm. Anurima Das reports.
The Karnataka Government had launched a
textile policy named ‘Nuthana Javali Neethi
2013-2018’ back in 2013. This policy was aimed
at benefitting the textile and garment industries

handloom), knitting, processing, garmenting
(including garments made of leather), technical
textiles, textile-machinery manufacturing, and all
other ancillary activities.
