It was a quiet March day in 1989 when a tall good-looking man
walked into the Flair Magazine office where I was the Fashion
Editor. It was Wendell Rodricks fresh from his design studies
in USA and France in 1988. He presented his portfolio and bio
data and requested if he could do a fashion feature for Flair.
His eagerness and honesty appealed to me, so I suggested
he design two garments for a feature that I was planning along
with Bollywood designer, Neeta Lulla and a young star Susan
Correa. A week later the two garments arrived, well finished and
delivered in the latest style of the 80’s.
