woven on power looms which are used for
stitched garments.
HEMP FABRIC
Fabric produced from hemp is soft, strong,
durable, and very comfortable for the skin. “In
addition, hemp fabric is stronger and more
durable than any other natural fabric and
is hypoallergenic, moisture-absorbent, fire-
retardant, a good insulator, UV-resistant along
with the characteristic of being the only fabric that
breathes,” says Chirag. Interestingly, the more
a hemp garment is worn, the softer the fabric
becomes, and the fibres do not break down after
multiple washes.
B LABEL
In February 2017, BOHECO launched B Label,
a sustainable clothing line that has a range of
daywear and evening wear designed in simple
and timeless styles for men and women. There
are dresses, tops, T-shirts, skirts, casual pants,
and jackets for women, and shirts, T-shirts,
kurtas, jackets, shorts, and casual pants for men.
The label presents two collections every year. The
hemp fabric for B Label is sourced from partners
around the globe; the garments are designed by
the design team; sampling is done, and then the
garments are stitched at work units in Mumbai.
