The colour palette ranged from soft pastel gradations to bright hues. There was an emphasis on quilting, which appeared in various forms including drop waists, flouncy peplum dresses, giant wraps, and long, slinky satin-and-tulle maxis. At other times, it even made a geometric appearance in the form of tights and strappy tunics. In addition, giant sleeves on boxy blouses and flowy tube midis, too, created a fashion statement.
