informed Members about the Marketing
Support Scheme offered by National Small
Industries Corporation (NSIC) to Micro and Small
Enterprises. He also briefed them on the modus
operandi of the Scheme.
Mr Rakesh Oswal of Amstead Clothing
Company, Pune, shed light on his assignment
on ‘Business Opportunities for Rural and Urban
Youths’. Speaking in the same context, Mr
Oswal stated that he, along with the Students
Rights Organisation of Times of India, Pune,
headed a Press Conference, which addressed
approximately 150 Youths on self-employment.
He added that he believes this initiative will also
motivate Youths/Students to establish their own
Business with Minimum Investment.
Mr Santosh Katariya, Managing Director,
Peppermint Clothing Company, Pune, Past
Chairman of CMAI’s Western Regional
Committee, and Mr Kiran Modgi, Hon’ble
Regional Secretary, Western Regional Committee,
shared their views on various Government
Subsidies and Benefits available to the Garment
Industry, and Subsidies offered to Manufacturers
for Electric Consumption, respectively.
To sum it up, the Seminar and Interactive
Session were well-received by all the Members,
providing them with worthwhile information on the
Garment Business scenario of today.
