Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Autumn/
Winter 2019 opened with the ‘Liva Feel
Green Feel Great’ fashion show that featured
Rina Dhaka, Shalini James, Sahil Kochhar
and Samant Chauhan with diverse looks.
Rina Dhaka played with red Bandhej for
Western wear. Shalini James’ ‘Chikrakoot’
line in brown, blue, red, green and indigo
had forest colours, while Samant Chauhan
worked with black, white, and red for various
silhouettes and Sahil Kochhar brought a
mix-and-match Western women’s line.
Amita Gupta Sustainable created a
mix of denim, silk and zari for handwoven
Benares fabrics. ARCVSH by Pallavi Singh
worked with PET bottle yarn fabrics with
handwoven, natural and pure yarns that
revealed colours and textures.
Vaishali S brought ‘Bisra’ that revived the
old weave Khun from Karnataka in a small
village, Guledgudda. The ensembles with
intense detailing in red, pink, orange and
green were stunning.
‘Hadith’ by Diksha Khanna created in
denim and chunky knits had a fusion look
with crochet patchwork, cross stitch and
decorative elements.
