IN THE NORTH METRO
The MetroNorth
area is a great
place to live
With over 330,000 residents and 21
municipalities, Anoka County is the fourth
most populous county in the state of
Minnesota. There are many opportunities
for residents, with new housing, senior
living, and apartment construction abound.
Whether you are looking to reside close to
the downtown nightlife or prefer more of
a country feel with acres and wildlife, the
North Metro offers it all.
There are plenty of things to do for our
residents, too. There are over 85 miles worth
of trails and countless parks and lakes.
The North Metro is home to the National
Sports Center which hosts the USA Cup
each summer. Besides this well-known
tournament, over 50 outdoor athletic fields,
a golf course, eight sheets of ice, soccer,
hockey, golf, figure skating, baseball, cycling,
lacrosse, event exhibitions and more are
offered.
Other area adventures include bowling,
movies, gaming, harness racing, curling, trap
shooting, water parks, soccer tournaments,
or a round of golf at one of our many golf
courses.
Like to shop til you drop? Northtown Mall in
Blaine is a large complex featuring over 100
stores. Several other shopping complexes
are around the region, and don’t overlook
the unique and quaint shops that can
be found in downtown Anoka and other
communities.
Want to appreciate the area arts scene?
The MetroNorth communities are home
to several theater companies and public
musical groups which stage plays and
concerts.
