SIMPLER TACK SPRAYING
S praying asphalt tack is pretty simple, but it can still be a bottleneck in your workflow. Often, the culprit is complicated design and a lack of options. The new Tack Tank from Crafco aims to change that with intuitive operation and several standard features meant to help you get the job done faster. First up is the two-position spray bar that can extend past the driver’ s side fender so you don’ t curb your wheels. The spray bar can also be controlled with your headlight switch using the trailer wiring. Next is the hydraulically driven pump, which allows the engine to start even when the lines are full of material. The pump is a 35-gallon-per-minute Roper, giving you plenty of capacity for a variety of jobs. It’ s also easy to draw material back into the tank by simply reversing the pump. And the engine is a reliable electric-start Kohler Command Pro with 9.5 horsepower to keep up with demand. Then there’ s the DOT-rated manhole cover which stops sloshing during transport, so you can navigate highways and bumpy job sites without spillage. Plus, the triple-pass flue tube increases the heating surface area for maximum heat transfer in a hurry. Top it all off with simple operation that makes training new recruits easy. There’ s even a handy plumbing diagram on the back in case you forget the valve settings. Sometimes it’ s the little things that make all the difference. Learn more at crafco. com / tack-tank.
