In 2019, the Research
and Development Unit
unveiled a new mobile
application for all internal
employees to access critical
calls for service data,
reference materials, and
corporate communications.
The mobile app, made
possible through a grant
with the COPS Office, works
on the iOS and Android
platforms and is completely
customizable for the agency.
The department also
replaced all in-car digital
video systems with a solution

that integrates into the current body-
worn cameras that are deployed. In
total, 206 city vehicles were outfitted
with the new camera systems.
