In July 2024, The American Dream City was the epicenter of
MLB ALL-STAR WEEK
America’ s Pastime as baseball’ s biggest stars and fans descended upon Arlington for MLB All-Star Week. It marked the first time in nearly 30 years that the Midsummer Classic was held in North Texas.
It was also one of the largest and most ambitious events the City of Arlington has ever hosted. Four days of events including the HBCU Swingman Classic, All-Star Futures Game, All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, T-Mobile Home Run Derby, and the 2024 MLB All-Star Game took place at Globe Life Field to full capacity crowds.
