the housing space and remains a
friend today. Patti Shwayder, Senior Vice President at Aimco, hired me
for my current role. YOUR “GO TO” INTERVIEW QUESTION? I always like to know
what someone’s first job after college was. It provides a good bookend
to start the conversation as to how they got to where they are today.
BEST OR WORST DECISION YOU MADE IN LAST 6 MONTHS: Worst - Buying used ski
boots. Best – Buying new ski boots. WHAT CAN DEVELOPERS DO DIFFERENTLY WHEN
DESIGNING A PROPERTY? Collecting input from the surrounding community
and incorporating some of that feedback into the development is an
often overlooked but important step. Acknowledging that the
community was heard and had an opportunity to opine on the project
goes so far in promoting and advancing our industry. AN AMENITY YOU WISH
YOU COULD INVENT? A wash, fold, deliver and put-in-the-right-drawer
laundry service. IF YOU COULD LIVE IN ANY SITCOM, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE? If I say

wildly entertaining. MOVIE TITLE BEST DESCRIBES YOUR WORK LIFE: Planes, Trains
and Automobiles – I travel quite a bit for work. HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE PEOPLE?
Developing a deep personal relationship with them. I’m very open with
my colleagues and share more than what is needed for them to perform
in their role, in hopes that the added perspective will help them
understand how critical their contribution is to the broader effort.
FAVORITE TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY? A good old-fashioned happy hour. THREE

need lots of reminders. Apple Podcast App; so I can stay connected to
news and trends in the industry. BIGGEST PET PEEVE? People who don’t
wait their turn to de-board an airplane. CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Staying nimble.
Amazing opportunities presented themselves early in my career and
being nimble in my pursuits allowed me to fully embrace and excel in
each. I’m interested in many things and am eager to take on and learn
something new. My willingness to explore something that may not seem
a natural fit with my law degree or past experiences has proven to be
critical to my career. ONE ITEM ON YOUR BUCKET LIST : I’d like to get my
pilots license.
