the best possible level, which is where we leaned

“What is your recommendation to new
breeders so that they may achieve a level of
progress such as yours in these years…?”
“I think the first thing is not to make mistakes
and try things out. It is key to invest in renowned
genetics, because the trial process is very long.
There are many people who have been working
on this for years, and therefore that is the best
way. Also follow the training instructions that the
AACCP has already set up and which continue to
promote the growth of the breed.” “In Tucumán breeders boasted several qualities;
the main one, a passion for breeding. They took
the genetics and trained their staff. In order to do
all this they were guided by the Association that
acted as a sort of tutor. The final change resulted
in all this. That was the place they had where they
could breed and they turned it into the reality we
see today.”

“How did breeding as it appears here today
begin, and what are your objectives?”
“We develop our breed in Tucumán because this
is where we’re from and the aim is sport. It began
as most breeding does, after some playing-mares
retired and we sought some SPC stallion to put
them to.

crack player as satisfaction in return for the work
done, that implies time; effort; love; dedication and
all these things that cause such enthusiasm.”
“What is the genetic background of your
breed?”
“The backbone of our stock are playing mares
that we later put to breed: Arisca, belonging to
Paz Posse, comes from a great breeder from the
North of the country, Francisco Patrón Costas,
who in time gone by used to provide players of the
