Women’s Polo Open DOLFINA C03 LAPA CLON 3 WAS THE FIRST MARE TO RECEIVE AN AWARD AT THE FIRST WOMEN’S OPEN By Federico Levy The grand final of the 1st. Women’s Argentine Open Championship took place on field N° 2 of the Argentine Polo Grounds at Palermo as a preliminary match leading up to the 124th. Argentine Polo Open Championship final. Six teams of between 23 to 30 goals FEM rating took part in this historic competition, with the participation of the best players from Argentina, Germany, United States, France and England. In a very good match between two teams that arrived at this instance unbeaten, La Dolfina Brava won the title after beating their opponent, Ellerstina, by a very tight 7-6 in overtime, with a goal by Nina Clarkin who converted a 30-yard penalty. The AACCP award to the Best Registered-Playing- Pony of the final went to Dolfina C03 Lapa Clon 3, played by Nina Clarkin (she received the horse- blanket from Karina Uböe and Mónica Ulloa). 220 “Women’s Polo has increasingly better ponies, and for this reason the AACCP has presented a trophy as an award to the best horse of the final.
