The Airship Pirate -

Who needs to rule the seas, when you can rule the skies? Steampunk without airships just isn't Steampunk. For as long as there have been modes of transportation, there have been those who have used it to their advantage.
Captain Shakespeare (Robert de Niro) in the film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Stardust, and Abney Park's Captain Robert and the Crew of the Ophelia are just two of the well known examples of the thousands of Airship Pirates out... or should I say up there in the aether of the Steampunk world.
It's a realm of brass telescopes, copper sextants, and crossed blades over mahogany decking. Where your whole
life has time to flash by your eyes on your fall from the plank. The look of an Airship Pirate is unique to the individual. Like most genres of Steampunk it isn't limited to a specific era, location, or culture. In much the same way as their oceanic forefathers, Airship Pirates came from all walks of life, from all corners of the world. Just remember to hide the rum.
