LL: I find shooting my costumes a great way to document what I have made, but also as a fantastic outlet to get to be in the spotlight for a little bit. In the professional side of costuming, you don’t get to wear costumes much! Unfortunately you are usually more practically dressed as you work with the performers. So getting in front of the camera is a great opportunity to explore my own passion for dressing up.

ASGJ: What do you wear as part of your everyday style?

LL: I’m influenced by a lot of different styles and subcultures, so I can never settle on just one style! My everyday wear is nearly always a little different from the mundane though. I wear a lot of gothic and victorian-styled clothes, as well as vintage style from the 20s through to the 50s (I have a vast collection of vintage pieces!) I’m also involved in the lolita subculture and often wear lolita fashion, and I’m a part of the Sydney lolita community.
