Act 1:8 77 pairs of socks -Lottie Moon Christmas Offering - $1,461.00 North Cleveland Baptist Church Jerusalem (Local) Church -Participated in Ocoee Outreach Home Construction Projects -Supported Walk for Life for New Hope Pregnancy Center November - our church had a ministry night and "5 Kernels of Corn" poems were made with five kernels of corn attached. December - individually packaged Christmas breads were made by church members and delivered with a card attached. February - Higher Ground Class project. March - Hysinger Class project. April - Delaney Class project. May - we had "Banana Split Day" at OMS. NCBC provided the fixings and the school staff came by and made their own. We also have several church members that volunteer and work in the office at OMS. Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes -Partners with Family Promise - once a quarter NCBC provides a place for families that are a part of the Family Promise program providing a place to eat and sleep for one week every three months. At least 60 people from our church have been involved in this mission. -NCBC contributes financially to local groups: Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Family Cornerstones, Cleveland Community Shelter, Jackie Leggett-Stanley Family, New Hope Pregnancy Center, One Heart Africa, Rick Mitchell Sports and Rec Plus, The Caring Place, Family Promise, Ocoee Middle School, Christian Women's Job Corps, and the Rocket Program at Cleveland Middle School. Ocoee Middle School Church Partners We are "Church Partners" with Ocoee Middle School and the childcare at our church, North Cleveland Baptist Child Development Center with approximately 140 teachers and staff. August - prayer rock cards were made and delivered. September ~ mechanical pencils and prayer cards were delivered. October - box lunches were given to OMS staff for Parent Conference days. Our church began a new way for more people to get involved in the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. The daughter of a deceased secretary of our church, who loved collecting and preparing shoeboxes, started a year-long project of collecting for the boxes. It was named "Shirley's Boxes.” This has involved just about everyone in our church. Hopefully, we will have over 600 boxes to send this year. Cleveland's Downtown Block Party Each year our church has a booth at the Downtown Block Party and makes pictures of people participating in the Block Party with a back-drop of a church and the year on it. The pictures are on our website for participants to download. Each person is contacted after the Block Party and invited to special services. Children's Ministry For one of our Ministry Nights, the Preschool & Children's Department put together baskets full of supplies for New Hope Pregnancy Center. Approximately 100 people were involved in this ministry. The Preschool & Children's Department were involved in VBS providing Bible stories, crafts, and snacks for 47
