EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES Photo by MONGA Bio-Economy Academy The Big 4 Week Professional Transition Program This activity was organised in partnership with the leading four accounting firms in Malaysia, namely PriceWaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte. Held over four days, the event was very popular among students across all disciplines. The sessions aimed to prepare students for recruitment by these firms and provided insights into the skills and attitudes that are sought after. The Professional Transition Program (PTP) was developed to support final-year students as they prepare to make the transition from university to workplace. Wobb, GradMalaysia, Bio-Economy Academy, General Electric and Honeywell were some of the organisations that participated in the PTP this year. Global Opportunities Fair: Internship and Work Abroad This inaugural event was organised to highlight work and internship opportunities that are available abroad. Students are able to gain work experience while they broaden their horizons travelling and learning about new cultures in different countries. Monash Career & Internship Fair 2017 This annual event is a platform for students to better understand their career prospects and employment opportunities in various industries through direct engagement with exhibiting employers. This year's exhibition showcased 53 employers and recorded a turnout of 2289 students. Monash Industry Appreciation Reception We ended the year with a reception held as a gesture of appreciation to our industry partners. Guests included school industry advisory panel members and employer engagement partners offering internships and graduate recruitment. 24
