Best Paper Award Five medals won at PECIPTA
Associate Professor Arkendu Sen from the Jeffrey Cheah School of
Medicine and Health Sciences won the Best Paper Award for
‘Development and Impact of 3D Interactive Monash Augmented
Reality Anatomy Learning Objects’ at the International Conference on
Smart System, Innovation and Computing held in India. Dr Sen
spearheads this cutting-edge research with team members Associate
Professor Lakshmi Selvaratnam, Associate Professor Alexandre
Schaefer and Md Imran Md Naing, as well as MBBS student
researcher Calvin Kah Chuen Leong. Monash research teams won one silver and four bronze medals at the
International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions
of Higher Learning (PECIPTA). The biannual program organised by the
Ministry of Education showcases innovations and services from local
and international institutions of higher education.

Two golds and four silvers won at ITEX
Our research teams were awarded two gold and four silver medals at
the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX)
organised by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society. Monash
Malaysia was also awarded the Best Booth Design Silver Award.
