Education: Field Trips
Ford’s Theatre offers field trip experiences for local students, including actor-led historic
site visits and opportunities to see mainstage matinees. Student matinees also include
pre-show workshops and previews for teachers and staff- and actor-led post-show
discussions. Students learn about Civil War history and Abraham Lincoln’s legacy, in
addition to experiencing live theatre, often for the first time.
