The USASF offers a Cheer Credentialing Program that evaluates , tests and certifies a coach ’ s knowledge , expertise and proficiency to safely teach building and / or tumbling skills at each level . A Dance Credentialing Program was launched during the 2021-22 season . Credentialed coaches are required to complete baseline credentialing which provides information on vital topics such as assessing and / or handling athletes with concussions , cardiac issues and overheating . Positive Coaching Alliance training and the Safe @ AllStar course are prerequisites for further credentialing in both cheer and dance .
