INDIAN RIDGE HABITAT RESTORATION A three-phase restoration project was launched in late 2019 on Indian Ridge , one of Mount Auburn ’ s most popular and historically significant areas . By removing invasive species like Norway Maples on the slopes , introducing native plants like Silverbell trees along the Ridge and surrounding areas , and replacing turf grasses with wildflowers , this restoration will ultimately improve the habitat for native birds while beautifying it for human visitors .
