Throughout the year, CIRO continued to strengthen its presence across the rail industry through an expanded programme of engagement and collaboration. We exhibited at Rail Live for the first time, participated in national Railway 200 celebrations and supported a number of key industry events, creating valuable opportunities to engage with members, employers and the wider rail community. We also established new strategic partnerships with Rail Forum and the Heritage Railway Association, broadening our engagement across the rail industry and creating new opportunities to collaborate, share expertise and support the continued development of rail professionals.
Our work was recognised through a number of prestigious industry awards. CIRO Connect received the Training Excellence Award at the Spotlight Rail Awards, while the Institution was honoured with the Wellbeing Award at the Railway Industry Association’ s RISE Awards. Alongside several further award shortlistings, these achievements reflect the growing impact of CIRO’ s work in supporting rail professionals and the wider industry.
Internally, we continued to strengthen the resilience of the organisation through investment in our systems and governance, achieving Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation for the first time and demonstrating our ongoing commitment to information security and organisational excellence.
Together, these achievements reflect an Institution that continues to evolve with confidence and purpose. By investing in people, strengthening partnerships, enhancing our professional offer and maintaining a clear focus on the needs of the rail industry, CIRO is well placed to build on this momentum in the years ahead.
