Seven VHVS Accelerator Teams Advance to Year Two
From the inaugural VHVS Accelerator cohort, seven teams have advanced into year 2 of VHVS. These prototypes exemplify VHVS’ s mission to deliver solutions Veterans can proudly say they helped create. The 7 teams are:
1. Mission: Readmission simplifies discharge instructions into personalized plans with interactive follow-ups, projected to reduce congestive heart failure readmissions by 50 %.
2. GuardianAssist uses AI speech-to-text technology to help clinicians detect language indicating suicide risk, enhancing early intervention.
3. The Optimizers streamline consult orders with AI-generated summaries, evidence-based recommendations, and automated test orders to improve workflow efficiency.
4. VITAE transform static suicide safety plans into personalized digital tools for Veterans.
5. HerStorAI integrates data sources to deliver a longitudinal, gender-sensitive suicide risk score tailored for women Veterans.
6. AI Reconciliation Rangers automate outpatient medication reconciliation to reduce errors and adverse drug events, with a projected 95 % accuracy rate.
7. VA Match uses AI to accelerate health care recruitment, minimizing staffing shortages and improving Veteran care access.
