Standard was developed for physicians administering nerve blocks for adult chronic pain in OHPs .
Companion advice to the profession documents were also reformatted to enhance clarity and accessibility .
In 2023 , all 67 Out-of-Hospital Premises due for an inspection were assessed and the reports were reviewed by the Premises Inspection Committee .
Independent Health Facilities ( IHF ) Program
CPSO met its target of assessing all 240 IHFs in 2023 . This is the last year that CPSO will oversee IHFs as the Ontario Ministry of Health ’ s new Independent Health Facilities Act ( IHFA ) will transition this work to Accreditation Canada in 2024 .
