LOOKING AHEAD : YEAR TWO IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
In the second year of implementing Thriving in Possibility , the School has defined specific objectives for each of the five strategies . The objectives listed will guide our work in 2024 – 2025 .
STRATEGY
YEAR TWO IMPLEMENTATION GOALS
Research possible models for a framework for well-being to be developed in 2025 – 2026 to underpin all aspects of pastoral provision at CHS .
Based on recent student surveys , identify and address assessment practices that are currently perceived to be impacting student well-being , including frequency , timing and diversity of assessments .
Foundational Well-Being
Expand the Graydin coaching practices and increase the number of staff trained in the Graydin coaching methodology .
Enhance the Social Emotional Learning ( SEL ) curriculum to strengthen students ’ ability to deal with over-scheduling and feelings of envy linked to competition , and to form stronger connections with caring adults .
Pursue initiatives that provide opportunities for students to develop student agency , including :
• Inviting Junior School students ’ feedback on the SEL framework
• Piloting a Senior School student committee on well-being
• Developing the peer support program in the Senior School
Complete an athletics review , including an evaluation of existing and potential resources to identify possible program enhancements .
Complete a review of the current Financial Assistance Program to refine current processes , strengthen application numbers and redefine the case for support .
Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase applicant ( student ) diversity .
Embracing Diversity
Establish a framework to develop students ’ skills for constructively engaging with and discussing multiple ideological perspectives on complex issues .
Incorporate the core employee competencies of administrative staff and leadership into recruitment and feedback processes , finalized after considering input from admin staff .
In addition to continuing to strengthen students ’ understanding of neurodiversity , research strategies for supporting neurodiverse employees and parents of neurodiverse students .
