COMPLETE
Map the current programming for parents and identify opportunities for strengthening and alignment with the Purposeful Parenting resources .
A review of the events and speaker opportunities to support parent learning was completed . A plan for 2024 – 2025 has been developed , including a strategy to communicate offerings and support events with purposeful parenting resources .
COMPLETE
Introduce the intentional elements of ( self ) compassion in the SEL curriculum and , where possible , in programming for parents .
Lessons on self-compassion were introduced in the SEL curriculum . In Senior School , this included some of the elements delivered by older peers , including healthy relationship dynamics ( caring , kindness , reciprocity and compassion ) and unhealthy dynamics ( rumours , gossip , competition and comparison ).
The Health & Wellness option of the Grade 10 Leadership Choice Module included selfcompassion and leadership .
Parents had an opportunity to explore the concept of ( self ) compassion with Jennifer Wallace , a Whole Girl , Whole World speaker .
IN PROGRESS
Foster the development of agency by applying the Graydin coaching model with specific grade groups supported by highly trained staff .
Graydin training was completed .
• Level 1 - 36 members of staff
• Level 2 - 12 members of staff
• Level 3 - 2 members of staff
Elements of the training have been included in student reflections on report cards in the Senior School .
IN PROGRESS
Support training to staff and all School leaders in Compassionate Systems Leadership ( CSL ) awareness .
A Professional Learning Community ( PLC ) met throughout the year , and the tools developed were shared with all staff .
Senior Leadership is using the tools ; however , at this point , no extension to Middle Leaders has been made .
The Senior School Student Executives have been introduced to the CSL principles in student leadership training .
DEFERRED
Develop a well-being framework to underpin pastoral provision at CHS .
Staffing pressures impeded progress on this initiative , which is now part of the Year Two plan .
