Quality Care

Supporting physicians in their decision-making and lifelong learning helps Ontario doctors and , ultimately , their patients .
We partner with licensed physicians every five years to ensure they maintain competence throughout their career .
QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Our Quality Improvement ( QI ) Program allows us to connect with more physicians , more regularly , in a more meaningful way – creating the conditions most favourable to ensuring their success at all stages of their career .
CPSO ’ s suite of Quality Improvement programs are built to engage Ontario ’ s physicians in self-reflection , self-improvement and meeting their quality requirements in five-year cycles . These programs take a strategic , data-driven approach to ensuring physicians are delivering quality care to Ontario patients .
By 2025 , we are projected to have more than 26,000 physicians complete our Quality Improvement program .
QI Programs for Individuals
In 2022 , we exceeded our goal of enrolling 3,000 physicians . More than 4,059 physicians completed our QI program for Individuals .

We are on track to have 5,000 physicians participate in 2023 and engage in the activities of quality improvement – evaluating the risks in practice , chart review , peer feedback , identifying sources of data , setting goals and outlining a plan for practice improvement .
QI Individuals – Groups Subset Program
Encouraged by the feedback received by physicians , we gave participants the option of forming small groups ( of up to seven members ) with other practising physicians .
