7 a new paradigm marked by digitalisation , the ecological transition , internationalisation , talent and entrepreneurship . We must transform ourselves in order to add further value to our economy , enhance productivity and create more and better jobs .
The Next Generation EU funds give us the historic opportunity to conduct this far-reaching and essential structural transformation , in order to rethink our way of acting with a view to achieve stronger , more sustainable and inclusive economic growth .
Our main objective , as a society , must be to make the most of this historic opportunity to apply the European funds as efficiently as responsibly and efficiently as possible , with enterprises as the backbone of economic measures , given that they are the driving force of the economy and the creator of wealth and employment .
This is a country-wide project that requires partnerships between the public and private sectors and the intervention of all economic and social agents in order to safeguard its success .
To this end , in 2021 the Chamber of Spain placed its core focus on disseminating the Next Generation funds and the various actions contained in the National Plan for Recovery , Transformation and Resilience , in addition to its participation in various projects together with the Administration and the companies of the Plenary Assembly .
This effort has been made simultaneously to the strengthening of the various programmes that the Chamber of Spain has been implementing in order to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs , boost its internationalisation and encourage the employability of young people , while at the same time debuting new actions focused on its digitalisation .
This intense activity would not be possible without the leadership and collaboration of companies of the Plenary Assembly — which in 2021 were joined by Google España , Vodafone España , Trade Association of Spain and Making Science —, the work and experience of the network of territorial chambers and the INCYDE Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce , and the dedication and enthusiasm of the personnel of the Chamber of Spain .
