CPSO saw other big wins in 2021 around system collaboration , including :

The College Performance Measurement Framework
In 2021 , we reported to the Ontario Ministry of
Health how we have executed our key statutory
functions and served the public interest . We
eLearning Program and significant updates to training received by new members of the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal , which help ensure that Council and Committee members are prepared for their role and understand their responsibilities .
Office of the Fairness Commissioner ( OFC ), successfully implementing each of the OFC ’ s compliance recommendations as well as meeting other criteria .
We put out a joint statement regarding the Distress and Suicide Recognition and Response
reported this information using a tool introduced
by the Ministry of Health in 2020 , called the College
Performance Measurement Framework ( CPMF ). This
tool enables regulatory health colleges to measure
and report , in a standardized manner , how we are
acting in the public interest .
In response to the Ministry ’ s new focus on Equity , Diversity , and Inclusion , CPSO highlighted the considerable work we undertook in 2021 in this space , including training for Council , committee members , and staff ; complaint investigations ; and policy analysis .
Project with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and the Physician Health Program of the Ontario Medical Association .
We partnered with the Ontario Patient Ombudsman to address the growing number of patient complaints related to the COVID-19 pandemic .
Completing the CPMF is an opportunity for us to
reflect on our achievements , better understand how
we measure up to best practices in regulation , and to
identify areas of improvement . Here are just some of
our key wins :
In meeting the Ministry ’ s Standards in the
Governance Domain , CPSO highlighted the
implementation of the Governance Orientation
We highlighted CPSO ’ s new enterprise management system and data management system in response to the new Ministry priority areas of Risk Management and Use of Technology , including how these systems increase staff productivity , promote remote work , improve interactions with members of the profession , and mitigate potential cyber risk .
