5 : SECURING RELIABLE RESOURCES
Our ability to continue making an impact relies on securing long-term resourcing . Diversifying our revenue streams will help increase opportunities and minimise risk to our business .
This year we : 1 . strengthened our relationships and funding arrangements with the Queensland and Australian Governments , including :
• four new projects under the 2018-22 Queensland Natural Resource Investment Program ( QNRIP ) worth $ 6,665,061 over 4 years ;
• funding under the 2018-2023 Australian Government ’ s National Landcare Program worth $ 6,438,238 over five years to deliver three projects plus a suite of core services ;
2 . developed our relationship with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation , which saw funding for three projects worth a total of $ 2,215,032 ;
3 . continued our $ 200,000 investment partnership with Evolution Mining to turn invasive weeds into compost for local farms :
• and secured a further investment from Evolution of $ 200,000 to protect additional areas of endangered beach scrub ; and
4 . continued to explore market-based systems to bring additional funds to support regional natural resource management .
