District 11 SkillsUSA Championships
Our flagship event, Championships
provides an opportunity for
students to showcase their
skills to the larger community,
applying what they have learned
in the classroom to challenging
scenarios designed by experts in
their respective fields that simulate
the demands of the 21st century
workplace. Over 400 students
competed in 55 contests of skill in
Leadership at Ag-Hall in Allentown
and other sites throughout our
area. Tarahgee Morris-Brown, a
Monroe Career & Technical Student,
spoke at the luncheon about how
SkillsUSA has impacted him and
helped him grow. Gold medalists
advance to the State Conference
in Hershey where they vie for a
spot at the National Leadership &
Skills Conference. This year thirteen
students competed at Nationals.
