Monroe Career and Technical
Institute Cosmetology students
sponsored a Hair-A-Thon in April.
The students, with help from licensed
cosmetologist, worked on 90 clients.
The project raised $1,655.00 for the
Monroe County Diabetic Society.
These funds helped to send children
with diabetes to camp to help them
learn how to live and deal with
diabetes in their everyday life.
Upper Bucks County Technical
School held a week long “Fill-a-Bag
Food Drive” in May. Students from
the twenty programs competed
to see who could fill the most
grocery bags. Non-perishables were
delivered to the FISH Food Pantry
in Perkasie, PA. Over 2,334 pounds
of food were collected, which is
over one ton! The Carpentry class
came through with the largest
donation and is the class to beat.
The donation helped to provide for
food insecure families in the area
throughout the summer months.
