4. School Year and Hours of Operation:*
The school year began on August 29, 2005 and ended on June 15, 2006. There were two
instructional sessions (semesters) of approximately 19 weeks each. Please see Table Two (2) on
the next page for the schedule of classes. According to the District of Columbia School Reform
Act, twelve hours of instruction per week constitutes a full-time equivalent adult student. Given
these criteria, students enrolled in the evening session meet the requirement for full-time
equivalent students. Students enrolled in the morning and afternoon sessions exceed the number
of instructional hours. Class schedules are set to accommodate students’ demanding schedules.
