PROGRAMS
PLA University was created to support family members in achieving economic independence. This tuition-free workforce development program supports not only our scholars’ families but any adult, ages 18 and older, in gaining skills, earning industry- recognized credentials, and securing high-demand careers in Health and Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Entrepreneurship. PLA University offers essential skills workshops; partners with local providers for occupational skills training; offers job placement assistance; and provides one year of job coaching and mentorship once graduates have secured a good job.

In this ever-changing world, more and more families are seeking alternative options to educate their child, outside of the traditional brick and mortar school experience.In addition to multicultural curriculum and social emotional learning, PLA Virtual sets itself apart from other virtual schools in several ways. We provide access to devices and connectivity, and all core content is delivered live by state-certified teachers. A rigorous curriculum paired with a well-designed learning management system ensures ease of access to learning aligned to grade-level skills and standards. A daily specified schedule allows for direct teacher and peer virtual contact on a daily basis, in small manageable classroom sizes. PLA Virtual is prepared to help scholars throughout the state of Indiana succeed.
