Acting to protect the planet
CIRCULAR ECONOMY, PACKAGING AND WASTE
The management of resources, packaging and waste is a core environmental issue for us, directly linked to the nature of our activities, our products and our value chain.
The analyses carried out show that:
• Packaging and packaging items account for a significant share of the material flows placed on the market,
• Waste is generated by industrial, logistics and office activities alike,
• The end of life of products and packaging is a key lever for reducing environmental impacts, particularly in terms of resources and climate.
In this context, the circular economy emerges as a priority area for controlling and reducing impacts, covering waste prevention, management and recovery and, more broadly, the optimisation of resource use across the entire product life cycle.
A structured approach towards a more circular economy
Aware of these issues, we are committed to a progressive, structured approach to strengthening the circularity of our activities. To this end, we have launched an ambitious project to map waste flows and build a comprehensive waste management policy, to be rolled out in 2027.
In particular, this approach aims to:
• Obtain a comprehensive, consolidated view of the waste generated by our activities across all our sites and our value chain,
• Better understand flows, waste types, treatment methods and recovery rates,
• Identify levers for reduction at source, better sorting and greater recovery,
• Build a coherent, shared circular economy roadmap.
A clear long-term ambition
This momentum reflects a clear ambition that we champion: to work towards ' zero non-recyclable waste ' by 2034.
This objective reflects our determination to:
• Reduce waste generation in the long term,
• Give priority to prevention, reuse and recycling,
• Increase material recovery,
• And contribute to a more efficient, responsible use of natural resources.
The circular economy is thus a central lever of our environmental approach, consistent with our commitments to sustainable health, resource conservation and reducing our environmental impacts.
