Acting to protect the planet
Introduction
Convinced that people ' s sustainable health is inseparable from that of ecosystems, we have made protecting the planet one of the core commitments of our CSR approach.
This commitment takes the form of a formalised environmental approach covering governance, the analysis of impacts and risks, tackling climate change, energy and water management, the circular economy and the protection of biodiversity.
THE GROUP ' S ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Aware of today ' s environmental challenges( climate change, depletion of natural resources, loss of biodiversity, pollution, etc.), we are committed, as a laboratory, to conducting our activities responsibly, seeking to continuously reduce our negative environmental impacts and contributing, at our own level, to the transition towards more sustainable models.
In particular, this commitment reflects our determination to:
• Prevent and reduce the environmental impacts of the Group ' s activities, products and services,
• Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions,
• Use natural resources( energy, water, raw materials) more efficiently,
• Develop circular economy practices, in particular through waste prevention and the optimisation of packaging and product end of life,
• Manage environmental risks, including those linked to the value chain.
This environmental approach is based on an integrated view of climate, resource conservation and circular economy issues, with particular attention to material flows, packaging, waste and the optimisation of resource use throughout the product life cycle. It forms part of our overall corporate social responsibility approach and helps put our purpose and CSR strategy into practice.
