iming to make this a yearly event, Cool Japan Festival is
looking at showcasing more and more Japanese Companies
to the Indian market, along with promoting Japanese Culture
and Food in India. The dates for the COOL JAPAN FESTIVAL
2014 are already out! The festival will take place in the month of
January 2014.

COOL JAPAN FESTIVAL also hosted various Online
Competitions on their Facebook page. (www.facebook.com/
cooljapanfestival) The Competitions were on Cosplay and
Anime Sketching. The winners were personally chosen by
eminent professionals from Japan, another first-time-ever
in India.

As spoken by Daniel, the man behind an epic Gundam
Cosplay, “I wanted to push myself and do something
which was not yet attempted
in the Indian Cosplay Scene
and be the first to do it”. When
posed a question on “Where
does one get so much passion
and dedication to create a
cosplay?”, the winner of the
Online Cosplay Competitions
Rishabh Saha mused, “The
fact that this festival is solely
Japanese, gives us cosplayers
that extra push to showcase
our talent to the Japanese
Audience.”
The Prizes this year were
exclusive Anime Figurines from
famous anime like One Piece,
Gintama, Vocaloid, Full Metal
Alchemist, Fate/Stay Night
and Rurouni Kenshin. This was
just the beginning.
