LGU, DOH open Ospital ng Imus
to the public

IMUS CITY, Cavite – The
city government of Imus led by
Mayor Emmanuel I. Maliksi and
Department of Health (DOH)-
CALABARZON
Regional
Director Eduardo C. Janairo
formally opened the Ospital ng
Imus to the public last October
15, 2018.
The Ospital ng Imus
located at Malagasang I-G
is a Php300 million, three-
story Level 1 hospital that was
constructed under the DOH
Health Facilities Enhancement
Program
(HFEP)
which
objective is to upgrade health
facilities and provide training
to health professionals and
improve access of people to
quality health care services.

PMOC program

QUEZON
CITY--The
Department of Social Welfare
and
Development
(DSWD)
vowed its full support to assist
national government agencies
and local government units
(LGUs) to streamline the process
and effectively execute the
Pre-Marriage Orientation and
Counseling (PMOC) Program
as one of the members of the
technical working group for the
implementation of the program.
Based on the revised
guidelines on the conduct of the
PMOC Program, the DSWD is
tasked to accredit Pre-Marriage
(PM) Counselors and to provide
technical assistance to LGUs and
PMOC teams which includes the
provision of relevant training to
accredited PMOC counselors.

AIMED in honoring the elders
and embracing their rights, the
Provincial Government of Cavite
(PGC) through the Provincial Social
Welfare and Development Office
(PSWDO) in collaboration with
the Provincial Health Office (PHO)
spearheaded a simple event for
the annual nationwide observance
of Elderly Filipino Week (EFW)
held at the SM City Trece Martires
Events Center on October 19,
2018. Under the theme, “Kilalanin
at Parangalan: Tagasulong ng
Karapatan ng Nakatatanda Tungo
sa Lipunang Mapagkalinga,”
fifty-one (51) centenarians took
center stage and were awarded
certificates of recognition plus
Php 50,000.00 cash incentives
from PGC for their valuable
contribution to the community.
Board Members Reinalyn Varias
and Homer Saquilayan, who
both acknowledged the important
roles of senior citizens in nation-
building, led the ceremony and took
the opportunity to mingle with the
elderlies. The province of Cavite
has more than 170,000 number
of senior citizens to be given the
respect, care and love they deserved
for being one of the foundations of
society. Other guests who attended
the celebration were Provincial
Health Officer Dr. Gilbert Ilog,
PSWDO head Fely Servañez,
Provincial General Services Officer
Ferdinand Belamide, and Office of
the Senior Citizens Affairs-Cavite
President Ciriaco Angeles along
with other city/municipal OSCA
presidents.
The contacting parties or
would-be-married couples, who
will apply for a marriage license
at the Local Civil Registry Office
(LCRO), are required to undergo
a Pre-Marriage Orientation and
Pre-Marriage Counseling as pre-
requisite in securing a marriage
license. Prior to the PMOC
sessions, the contracting parties
must accomplish a Marriage
Expectation Inventory Form
(MEIF) at the PMOC Secretariat.

including curative, preventive

The hospital has a 130-
bed capacity and a floor area of
4,000 square meters with 22-
bed ward, 19 private rooms, 5
rooms for physicians and rooms
for personnel and medical staff.
It has a manpower complement
of 20 medical doctors and 25
nurses with 15 consultants and

Calabarzon ready for federal

QUEZON CITY-- Calabarzon
is fully equipped to handle its
own shift to a federal form of
government, according to the
Department of the Interior and
Local Government (DILG).
“Given the region’s
expanding
and
highly
competitive
economic
environment,
the
local
government units (LGUs)
of Calabarzon can walk
gracefully
through
the
transition into federalism,”
Driven
by
strong
manufacturing
and
construction, the economy
of Calabarzon accelerated to
6.7% in 2017 from the 4.8%
growth in 2016, data from the
Philippine Statistics Authority
(PSA) show.
Meanwhile,
four
out of five of Calabarzon’s
provinces
topped
the
competitiveness index ranked
by the Department of Trade
and Industry (DTI) this 2018.
