The Chief Executive chose Ambassador to the United Nations, Teodoro “Teddy Boy” Locsin Jr. as the new Foreign Affairs Secretary, replacing Alan Peter Cayetano, who filed his candidacy for the 2019 mid- term elections. Locsin was formerly appointed by President Duterte as Philippine Envoy to United Nations in 2016. Retired Lt. Gen. De Leon PASIG CITY — The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD), recently conducted the First National Tech- Voc Trade Expo at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, DepEd Central Office in Pasig City to showcase learners skills and products. The learners exhibited their products in handicraft making, everlasting making, baking, soft furnishing, fish deboning, t-shirt printing, red wine and turmeric making, beauty care, dishwashing liquid making, bartending, welding, wellness massage, perfume making, dressmaking, and nail art. Aside from intensified level of awareness among DepEd employees and stakeholders the event also exhibits skills/products and performances of learners and teachers; and engaged industries as partners in supporting learning MOLDING THE YOUTH TO BE A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR In its aim to promote a sustainable economic development in the community and to impart the effectiveness of having a well- developed and innovative entrepreneurial mindset, the Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) headed by Governor Boying Remulla thru the Provincial Cooperative Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCLEDO) once again organized the Cavite Entrepreneurship Students Forum with the theme: “Entrepreneurial Mindset: Unleashing the Power of Today’s Generation” on October 04, 2018 at Cavite State University- Indang Campus. Almost 800 participants comprised of business administration, entrepreneurship and marketing students accompanied by their professors which came from different colleges and universities in the province have attended the forum driven by the desire to gather some tips and inspiration from successful entrepreneurs. During the program, Mr. Alvin S. Mojica, head of PCLEDO warmly welcomed all the attendees and encouraged everyone to be an entrepreneur as it may give a chance to budding businessmen a non- limit income.
