President Duterte to attend ASEAN
Leaders’ gathering in Indonesia
MANILA -- President Rodrigo
Roa Duterte is set to attend the
Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN) Leaders’
Gathering in Bali, Indonesia on
October 11.
President
Duterte
will meet with the other
ASEAN leaders to discuss
issues related to the theme:
“Achieving SDGs (Sustainable
Development
Goals)
and
Overcoming Development Gap
Through Regional and Global
Collaborative Actions.”
“The ASEAN Leaders’
Gathering will be a two-hour
informal roundtable. It will be
co-chaired by the President
of the Republic of Indonesia
and the Prime Minister of
Singapore as the ASEAN Chair
in 2018,” said DFA Assistant
Secretary for ASEAN Affairs
Junever Mahilum-West at a
press briefing in Malacañang on
Monday.
She said the President
would
be
attending
the
meeting upon the invitation
of Indonesian President Joko
“Jokowi” Widodo.
Aside from the annual gathering,

and Order Council (RPOC)

the Philippine National Police
(PNP) of the provinces of Cavite,
Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and
Quezon along with other Council
members at Sherwood Hills Golf
Club, Barangay Cabezas here.
Convened by the Department of
Interior and Local Government
(DILG) Regional Office IV-A who
serves as secretariat, the RPOC
meeting aimed to review and
update the progress of the peace
and order programs implemented
in the five provinces.

by Engr Ernesto Cenizal confirmed
its fiery desires and commitment to
conserve the environment as they
went out to plant trees on September
28, 2018 at Barangay Osorio and
Hugo Perez in Trece Martires
City. In line with the principle of
Mandamus Order of 2008 which
covered six major rivers of Cavite
including Labac-Alemang River,
Maragondon River, Cañas River,
San Juan River, Imus-Ylang-Ylang
River and Bacoor River, PGC has
echoed its eagerness to conserve
the stream banks with livelihood
components as they took part
to facilitate the Cavite Arbor
Day Project. A memorandum
of agreement was also inked to
signify their obligation to be part in
the conservation and rehabilitation
of the streambanks as PGC signed
the MOA with the chairmen of
the above-mentioned barangays.
One thousand seedlings comprised
of irok, kawayan and other fruit
bearing trees were planted along
the streambanks with the volunteers
from the academe including the
personnel from CVSU Satellite
Campus – Gentrias, Tanza and
Trece Martires headed by Prof.
Noel Sedigo, partners from private
agencies, local government units,
PGC employees and national
