A WINNING
Noel Bartley recently took out the Summit Racing Queensland Championship
honours in Modified Bike on his beloved “Miss Piggie” Honda 4 which he not only
built himself, but from second hand parts no less.
“That was the biggest surprise of my life I tell you, you could have
blown me over with a feather when they said I was the champ!”
Bartley grinned, while giving a special thanks to Grulke Concreting
and his partner Penny for their support.
The 66-year-old from Bundaberg took out the prestigious Copper
ANDRA Christmas Tree trophy as the winner of Modified Bike for
the 2018 Summit Racing Queensland Championship in September.
He had his hands full that night at Benaraby Raceway too – also
taking out the event win for his bracket.
While Bartley had a relatively consistent series, he explains he was
completely blindsided by the ultimate result as he doesn’t follow
the points score as the series progresses – instead focusing on
having fun with his beloved 46 year old bike, “Miss Piggie.”
