Mastering Lighting
Skill Level: II - III
Skill Level: III - IV
Concept: Combine images and stories to produce a compelling photographic narrative.
Develop a personal style of vision in documentary photography. Increase their power of
observation and see the documentary possibilities in everyday life. Each student works on an
individual project to refine concept, technique
and editing.
Media & Techniques: Students use digital SLR
cameras, process images with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop and print digitally.
Activities: Students choose a project to
develop during the week. The first day consists
of in-depth analysis of each student’s work and
one-on-one evaluation of each student’s vision
and execution. There is shooting time, daily
discussions and reviews of work in progress,
group editing sessions and sequencing of produced work. Alessandra works with students
individually to sequence images, text and photo
essays to express a personal vision.
