n the beginning of time God created the
universe, and the first man and woman, Adam
and Eve, and put them in a beautiful garden with
only one command to obey: Don’t eat the fruit from
one tree. Our first ancestors chose to disobey God
and brought misery and death into the world. God
promised them that someday He would send a
Redeemer who would restore man’s relationship
with God. If they would believe God’s promise,
they could be saved.
“Adam and Eve are driven from the Garden of Eden”
(Genesis 3:22-24)
