Alexander the Great was the King of the Greek kingdom, Macedon. Alexander the Great was considered one of history's most successful commander because he was undefeated in battle. He also created the largest empire in the ancient world. Alexander's legacies includes the cultural diffusion his conquest induced. He founded 20 cities whose name came from him, most notably is the city of Alexandria in Egypt.

His writings were about physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theater, music, rhetoric, linguistics, politics, and government. Aristotle proposed a fifth element, aether, to the common earth, water, fire, and air elements.
Both the Iliad and the Odyssey were both about Odysseus (Ulysses), a legendary Greek king of Ithaca and also was the Trojan War hero.
