Dumplings, a Chinese story

Yummy Dumplings!

There have been many variations of dumplings from different parts of the world, including India, USA, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, Jamaica, Brazil, and more. They each have different ingredients in their type of dumpling. For example, Jamaica stuffs their dumplings with kidney, saltfish, liver, salt mackerel, and other stuff. The USA makes their dumplings in the style of a broth, but uses similar ingredients as China.

I’m sure everybody knows what dumplings are: delicious Chinese cuisine. However, do you know how it was created, and when? Ok, I’ll give you all the secrets. Everything you ever knew about dumplings, which probably wasn’t much, is about to change.

Dumplings in China were created during the Han Dynasty by a genius named Zhang Zhongjing. This happened in 225 A.D, which was a long time ago. Dumplings are delicious and are usually stuffed with other foods like meat. Popular meat fillings in dumplings include grounded meat (normally pork but sometimes chicken or beef), and is delicious. Today, dumplings still exist and is common in Chinese restaurants.
