48 mm custom front fork
Swedish suspension specialist Öhlins’ FGRT 300
front fork was originally developed for the Ducati
Diavel. However, the special design and dimensions
have got the attention of the world’s bike building
community, with many using it for custom Harley
applications.
The black outer and gold inner tubes give “a certain
look and feel” – one that looks “business-like” and
speaks to the kind of performance and handling that
many top-end customizers are looking for.
Inside the FGRT 300, Öhlins use their popular and
proven NIX technology, which separates the
compression and rebound adjusters into each fork
legs. This allows not only for a more precise
functionality and for improved stability, but also a
convenient placement of all adjustments at the top
caps.
The FGRT 300 front fork golden inner tubes
drastically reduce friction, thereby letting the
internals work better and with reduced component
stress; response, precision, feel and durability are all
greatly enhanced.
Öhlins says the fork increases the grip, bump
absorption and performance of the bike. That
translates into increased comfort, tire feel and brake
support.

Getting “GRITTY”
with RPW
North Bend, Oregon based Rogue Pipe
Works (RPW USA) have released the power
performer “GRIT” 2 into 1 full exhaust for
Indian Scout/Scout 60 models.
Sculpted and fitted to complement the
bike’s lines, the header pipes transition into
a collector, allowing a strong and balanced
flow into a 3 ½” canister muffler. The
“GRIT” muffler is built with a removable
standard or quiet baffle and finished off
with the signature RPW USA billet end cap.
Available with black ceramic or chrome heat
shields and muffler, RPW say they get 98.74
hp/80.29 torque of “pure performance” from
the “GRIT”.

High chrome valve seats
Californian valvetrain specialist Kibblewhite
Precision Machining has added a newly
engineered line of high chrome (HC) valve
seats, which have 18-22 percent chromium
content for increased resistance to
abrasion, corrosion and deformation.
Additionally, a 1-2 percent nickel content
adds toughness and further corrosion
resistance. They can be easily machined and
form a continuous chip, which is quite
different to what can be expected from
powder metal. All HC seats are ground to
exacting tolerances and designed to be
used in universal applications.
