Roadsmith kits for H-D ‘Rushmore’ trikes
ROADSMITH has released
details of its trike conversion
for use on 2014 model year
Harley-Davidson Rushmore
models.
The line-up includes the HDT kit
for use on the FLH family of
bikes, and to showcase the
conversion Roadsmith has
converted an Electra Glide
Ultra. Beginning with a new
seven-degree steering rake kit
(previous Harley-Davidson FLH
trikes used a four-degree rake),
the newly redesigned Rushmore
Trike is said to offer responsive
handling, aided by the use of
Roadsmith’s own design
independent rear suspension.
The new trikes also retain the
stock ABS braking system,
featured on the new Rushmores,
as well as the linked braking
system, for improved stopping
power and safety.
The HDT model uses traditional
Harley-Davidson styling cues,
including turn signals and
taillights from the original
motorcycle. It offers a spacious
trunk and is most generally
paired with the original HarleyDavidson Tour Pak for
long-range storage capacity.
A second model, also available
for all of the FLH-series
motorcycles, is the HDTR which
offers features such as a singlehanded trunk release, longer
fenders and retro-styled all-inone taillights and turn signals.
